Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in New Zealand delivers end-to-end projects, specialising in critical facilities such as data centres. As Design Manager, you will lead both in-house and external teams to develop and deliver the most appropriate technical solution for clients, aligning with their brief and requirements.

You will work across NZ and Australia with group leaders and project managers to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and effective coordination of resources, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in an engineering delivery environment.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in professional services or construction project delivery.
• Proven project background in data centres or other similarly complex vertical build projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house and external project technical teams to develop and deliver technical solutions.
• Ensure outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet/exceed client requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and review technical delivery methodology and resource needs.
• Coordinate with group leaders to ensure quality assurance, fee budgets and schedules.
• Develop constructive relationships with contractors, clients, other consultants and team members.
• Contribute to proposals and bid development to support business development.
