Job summary

Stantec in New Zealand is seeking a Design Manager for data centres to lead multi-disciplinary teams, translate client briefs into design solutions, and drive the delivery of complex, mission-critical facilities across NZ and Australia. You will partner with group leaders and project managers to ensure high-quality outputs and client satisfaction.

The role requires senior delivery experience, Chartered Engineer recognition, and flexibility to work across NZ locations.

Qualifications

15 years' experience in an engineering delivery environment.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams both internal and external in professional services or construction delivery.
Proven project background in data centres or similar complex builds.
Tertiary qualification in an engineering or construction field.
Chartered Engineer or equivalent recognition.

Responsibilities

Lead in-house and external project teams to develop and deliver technical solutions.
Ensure outputs are delivered on time and within budgets and meet client requirements.
Implement sound delivery methodologies and coordinate technical resources.
Plan work, track progress, and communicate with leaders on status and risks.
Deliver high-quality outputs for data centre projects, including remote-team coordination.
