Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring in Wellington for an entry-level Rental Operations Agent. You will greet customers, process rentals and bookings, and promote our products and services at the counter. You may inspect vehicles for damages and assist with occasional cleaning as part of daily duties.

We value strong customer service, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work across shifts. Training is provided to help you reach your potential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional approach.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality or customer-facing roles is desirable.

Job description

We have an opportunity for someone with exceptional customer service skills to join our team in Wellington as what we call a Rental Operations Agent. This is an entry level position and could be the first step in your career!

About the Role

From our customer counter you will greet and interact with customers, market products and services and complete rental transactions, contracts and bookings.

To ensure our customers always get the best experience, you will also be required to inspect vehicles for damages and assist with the cleaning of our vehicles from time to time.

What we are looking for :

• Full , clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivery exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information(training will be provided)
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

We operate 7 days a week, 8 am to 5.30 pm, where you will be required to work as and when required during our operating hours. This means you could be called to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as needed.
