New Zealand Avis Rent A Car Limited at Nelson Airport is hiring a part-time Rental Operations Agent to support both front and back of house duties. You will interact with customers, process rentals and contracts, and assist with bookings.

The role involves vehicle inspections, driving, parking, and wash bay duties, with full training provided and uniform/parking benefits. 3 x 8-hour shifts weekly (Fri, Sat, Mon) across a 7am–10pm schedule.

• Entry-level role with training provided.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to input rental information.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers on the counter, market products and services, complete rental transactions, contracts and bookings.
• Inspect vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, drive and park cars, and clean vehicles in wash bay.

Best of both world where you are not just sitting behind a desk all day! Based at Nelson Airport, we have a part‑time, permanent position available for someone who has exceptional customer service skills and isn't afraid of hard work.

Permanent, Part‑Time 24-hours per week position available Entry level role Training provided Supportive, friendly, and caring culture Large, Stable, well‑known international company We operate 7 days a week, from 7 am to 10 pm each day. We are looking for someone who can work : 3 x 8 hour shifts working on a Friday, Saturday and Monday of each week.

About the Role

As what we call a Rental Operations Agent you will be involved in all aspects of our business! This varied role covers both our front and back of house operations. On the counter you will be interacting with our customers, marketing products and services, completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings. On the other hand, you will be inspecting vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, driving, and parking our cars as well as cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior) in the wash bay so they are ready for our customers.

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivery exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided)
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
