Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Tauranga is seeking a part-time Rental Operations Agent to support both front and back-of-house operations. You will interact with customers, handle rentals, contracts, and bookings, and help promote our products.

The role requires a clean driver’s licence and prior experience in retail or hospitality. Training is provided, and shifts cover early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Entry level role with training provided.
• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential.
• Experience in retail, hospitality or similar roles.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment while delivering customer service.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers on the counter and process rental transactions.
• Handle contracts and bookings and market products.
• Inspect vehicles for damages and maintenance issues.
• Drive, park, and clean vehicles to ready them for customers.
• Work at Tauranga airport, 6am–9pm, with a 20-hour weekly schedule.

Part-Time (working 20-hours per week) position available

About the Role

As a Rental Operations Agent you will be involved in all aspects of our business! This varied role covers both our front and back of house operations. On the counter you will be interacting with our customers, marketing products and services, completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.

On the other hand, you will be inspecting vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, driving, and parking our cars as well as cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior) in the wash bay so they are ready for our customers.

Based at the airport we work Monday to Sunday from 6am to 9pm. For this position we are looking for someone who can work part-time (a 20-hour work week) during our operating hours meaning you could be scheduled to work early morning, evening, weekend and public holidays.

What we are looking for:

• Full , clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivery exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided)
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
