Job summary

Department of Conservation is seeking a Customer Service Centre Agent to join our Visitor Services Team. This role involves answering queries by phone and email, educating the public, and directing callers to the appropriate team across the organisation.

Based in Invercargill, Christchurch, or Nelson, you will work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a focus on customer-first service and a healthy work–life balance. Previous call centre experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and call centre environments.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and juggle tasks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer queries via phone and email with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.
• Direct callers to the appropriate team and provide information or guidance as needed.
