Job summary

Woolworths Group in Palmerston North is seeking a dynamic Store Leader to drive exceptional customer experiences at our Woolworths SupermarketsNZ location. You will oversee checkouts, cash office, and service areas while coaching teammates to deliver best-in-class service.

You’ll lead shifts, ensure compliance with policies, and escalate issues when needed. A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and effective communication will be essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a store team and driving customer excellence.
• Ability to coach and develop team members on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Look after the checkouts and cash office.
• Monitor customer service areas (gates, trolleys, baskets, lotto, audit, loyalty) to high standards.
• Create positive customer interactions and resolve questions/issues.
• Lead the team, provide on‑the‑job training, and act as Store Manager on scheduled shifts.
• Identify and escalate process issues for resolution.
• Promote safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
• Collaborate with team and other functions to improve service.
