Job summary

Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand is seeking a customer experience focused leader to look after checkouts, cash office and service areas. You will monitor service standards, resolve issues and create positive customer interactions while leading a team and coaching colleagues.

You will drive ongoing process improvements, uphold safety standards and collaborate across functions to deliver exceptional store experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and coach teams.
• Commitment to process excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ability to build partnerships across functions and stakeholders.
• Excellent compliance knowledge and clear communication of standards.
• Willingness to work four weekend shifts per month and at least one evening per week.

Responsibilities

• Look after the checkouts and cash office.
• Monitor customer service areas (entry gates, trollies, baskets, lotto, loyalty).
• Create positive customer interactions and resolve issues.
• Lead and supervise team; provide on‑the‑job training and coaching.
• Escalate process issues to the Function Lead when needed.
• Champion safety and wellbeing; follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate and communicate to foster a positive team environment.
