Job summary

Ideal Electrical is seeking a friendly, reliable Counter Sales individual to join our Hastings branch. The role focuses on face-to-face customer service, recommending products, and providing tailored quotes for electricians across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

You will handle in-store and remote inquiries while supporting sales at the counter. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll contribute to exceptional customer service, maintain branch standards, and participate in stock

• Experience in sales or a customer-facing role.
• Enjoy working with people and building genuine connections.
• Able to communicate clearly and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers over the counter, phone and email re: sales orders and enquiries.
• Sourcing products to suit customer’s needs, returns and credits.
• Picking goods and collection of cash/payment from counter customers.
• Supporting maintenance of branch standards (stock, cleanliness, shelves).
• General administration of stock data and records, merchandising duties.
• Ensuring Health & Safety protocols are adhered to at all times.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Counter Sales individual to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys face-to-face customer interaction and has a passion for delivering excellent service to our valued customers, primarily electricians, in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors while supporting sales at the counter.
