Job summary

Mico Silverdale is seeking a Part Time Customer Service Representative on a Fixed Term Contract. The role offers 20 hours per week across Monday to Friday, with start times between 7am and 8am.

You'll engage trade customers, process orders, assist with goods, and help manage stock and safety standards at the Silverdale store. Ideal candidates will have customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing or trade retail role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using technology and navigating multiple systems.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Full NZ Class 1 Driver's Licence is essential; forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Inwards Goods, including accurate receipting and system entry
• Monitor inventory levels, complete cycle counts and stock replenishment
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards through general store housekeeping

As a Part Time Customer Service Representative on a Fixed Term Contract at Mico Silverdale you'll enjoy a varied, hands-on role and play a key part in creating the exceptional service experience our valued trade customers rely on and keeps them coming back. From providing tailored product advice and serving on the trade counter, through to picking, packing, and organising products for delivery.

This is a Fixed Term, Part Time Contract running until late December, based at Mico Silverdale, offering 20 hours per week working 4 hours per day across Monday to Friday. Start Times may vary between 7AM and 8AM, depending on business needs.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll be a natural communicator and relationship builder who puts customers at the heart of everything you do. You'll be friendly, reliable, enjoy working with others, and ready to jump in wherever needed.

• Previous experience in a similar customer‑facing or trade retail role
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident using technology and navigating multiple system
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting (25kgs) and manual handling tasks
• Full NZ Class 1 Drivers' Licence is essential
• Forklift experience is preferred; an F endorsement is desirable
• Knowledge of plumbing, building products or the construction industry is a plus
