Job summary

Ideal Electrical Christchurch, a long-established electrical wholesaler, is seeking a reliable Driver/Warehouse person to join our Sydenham team. You will balance delivering items with warehouse duties, ensuring customers receive the right product and excellent service.

This hands-on role requires organization, practicality, and a customer-focused attitude. You will lift items, measure cables, process stock, and handle sales enquiries over counter, phone, and email.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, clean NZ driver’s licence.
• Experience in delivery driving and warehouse duties is preferred.
• Customer-focused with clear communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Heavy lifting of cables and bulky items and pallet stacking.
• Delivering items to customers on time with accurate paperwork.
• Receiving, unpacking and inspecting incoming goods promptly.
• General stock data entry and merchandising duties.
• Answer sales inquiries over counter, phone and email.
• Handle cash/credits and resolve customer account questions.

Ideal Electrical Christchurch, South Island

Our Sydenham are on the hunt for a reliable and energetic Driver/Warehouse person to join us in the electrical trade industry. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, your role will have themotivation and initiativetoensure our customers get the right product and experience an exceptional level of service every time they deal with us.

This is a hands-on role that combines delivery driving with warehouse operations, so you’ll need to be organised, practical, and customer focused.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Heavy lifting, e.g. cable rollers and drums, bulky items (ducts) and pallet stacking
• Measuring cable and good Health and Safety practice when using cable cutting machine
• Receiving, unpacking and inspecting incoming goods in a timely manner
• Delivering items to customers on time, providing accurate paperwork with goods
• General administration of all stock data and records, and merchandising duties
• Serving customers over the counter, phone and email re: sales orders and enquiries
• Picking goods and collection of cash/payment. Customer account queries (credits, returns)

The Ideal Candidate:

• Communicate clearly and work well as part of the team
• Solid organisational habits and time management
• A collaborative mindset and respect for doing things the right way
• Hold a full, clean NZ driver's licence

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, worked between the hours of 7.00 am - 5.00pm. There is also requirement on occasion to work outside this hours for customer engagement and events.
