Job summary

Northpower is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Analyst to mature our CMDB, asset data and software licences across the Enterprise Technology team. You’ll own data quality, governance and the relationships between configurations, assets and services, providing insights for better operational and lifecycle decisions.

You’ll collaborate across technology, security, finance and procurement, turning complex information into practical, actionable guidance while driving cost efficiency

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience in Configuration Management, CMDB, ITAM, SAM or ITSM.
• Experience improving configuration data, data quality and ownership in complex environments.
• Knowledge of config data models, CI lifecycles and service relationships.
• Solid understanding of ITIL practices and how configuration information supports IT services.
• Experience with discovery, asset management or service-mapping platforms.
• Knowledge of software licensing, entitlements and lifecycle management.
• Broad understanding of enterprise apps, cloud, infrastructure, networks and security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing development and maturity of Configuration Management and CMDB.
• Improve configuration standards, data models, data quality and lifecycle management.
• Drive CMDB health, data quality, discovery, reconciliation and remediation.
• Govern digital technology assets lifecycle and software asset management.
• Identify cost savings, compliance improvements and asset optimisation opportunities.
• Provide configuration and dependency information to support incidents, changes and transitions.
• Develop governance, reporting, standards and controls with practicality.
