Job summary

Northpower in Whangārei seeks an ADMS Control Systems Engineer to maintain and enhance the control room's SCADA, NMS and OMS, working with vendors and internal teams.

You will support Oracle databases, Linux and Windows servers, and improve workflows while ensuring data integrity across GIS and customer systems. A proactive, collaborative, and flexible approach is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems and real-time control environments.
• Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of generation, transmission, and distribution operations in electricity networks.
• Experience supporting Oracle databases, Linux and Windows servers.
• Safety and environmental management awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enhancements to automated and manual processes to optimise workflows and data accuracy.
• Liaise with stakeholders to deliver services and maintain data integrity across GIS, ADMS, DSUB, and customer systems.
• Ensure integration, availability, security, and reliability of applications for the operations control room.
• Maintain and support key control systems including ADMS, SCADA, NMS, OMS, and advanced applications.
• Support GUI and back-end administration, including Oracle databases and Linux environments.
