Watercare is seeking a Senior Financial Assets Accountant to lead accounting and reporting for a major portion of its fixed asset portfolio in a complex asset-intensive environment.

You will own capitalisation, revaluation, asset reporting and reconciliations, and work across Finance, Technology, and Operations to translate accounting needs into robust data structures and controls. The role supports ERP improvements and requires strong Excel and ERP experience.

Qualificações

• Degree in Accounting or Finance plus a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Hands-on experience with fixed asset systems within a large enterprise.
• Experience contributing to systems implementation, upgrade or major process transformation.
• Strong fixed asset accounting knowledge: capitalisation, depreciation, transfers, disposals, revaluation, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Manage accounting and reporting for a significant part of Watercare's fixed asset portfolio, including capitalisation, revaluation, asset reporting, reconciliations and analysis.
• Review commissioning evidence and asset classifications, follow up WIP and aged WIP, and complete monthly asset reconciliations.
• Provide clear, practical advice on fixed asset accounting, system processes, data requirements and reporting outcomes.
• Prepare fixed asset disclosures, movement schedules and variance commentary; reconcile asset register to GL and disclosures; review depreciation budget and forecast inputs; prepare audit deliverables.
• Support data migration, cleansing, reconciliation and validation; improve integration of project, procurement, general ledger and fixed asset processes.
• Collaborate with colleagues, users and partners to resolve issues and support continuous improvement and adoption.
