Job summary

Southern Cross is hiring a Software Engineer for our Integration Platforms team in Auckland. You will help modernize core platforms, bridge on‑prem to cloud and Azure-native solutions, and drive enterprise API management and shared services.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, contribute to migrations from BizTalk to AIS, and champion best practices with AI-assisted development, CI/CD, and secure, scalable delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering experience with C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework.
• Familiar with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) and using them to boost velocity.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure services, especially Logic Apps and APIM.
• CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy on-prem services into scalable cloud-native architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop, maintain, and operate Identity Platform, API Gateway (APIM), Domain APIs, and enterprise integration systems.
• Lead migrations from BizTalk to Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management).
• Utilize AI coding tools to accelerate delivery and generate unit tests.
• Build and support robust CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed services to maintain platform reliability.
