As Clinical Secretarial Support, you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to consultants and clinical teams. You will be responsible for managing clinical correspondence, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting the patient journey from referral through to treatment and follow-up care. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE), Mondays 8.00AM to 2.30PM and Tuesday to Friday 8.00AM to 3.00PM.

Our Clinical Support Services team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the patient's journey. By providing essential administrative support, we enable clinical teams to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. From coordinating schedules to managing documentation, we are the backbone of the hospital's daily operations.
As Clinical Secretarial Support, you will:
Previous secretarial, administration, or healthcare experience and knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous but are not essential.
Typing speed of 50 words per minute or more is essential. Audio transcription experience and medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Our preferred applicants will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
