Bupa Windsor Park Care Home in Gore, Southland, is seeking a dedicated Household team member to provide clean, hygienic housekeeping and laundry services for residents.

This permanent full-time role offers an average of 32 hours per week with a 7:30am-3:00pm shift and a 4 days on, 2 days off pattern, across a supportive team focused on resident wellbeing and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a similar environment is preferable.
• Ability to work well individually and in a team to maintain smooth workflow.
• Strong care and communication with residents and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Provide efficient, hygienic cleaning and laundry services to a high standard.
• Keep residents' rooms, public areas, and laundry orderly.
• Handle residents' clothing with care and return to owners.
• Operate laundry equipment as required.
• Report faults or low supplies to the manager and manage supplies responsibly.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
• Hours: Average 32 hours per week
• Shift Time: 7.30am-3.00pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off(6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Located in Gore, Southland, Bupa Windsor Park Care Home is set amongst gardens with views of the Hokonui Hills. Care options include Rest Home, Hospital, and Dementia Care.

As part of our Household team, you will:

• Provide efficient, and hygienic cleaning and laundry services to a high standard.
• Complete all daily cleaning tasks set by the cleaning schedule, ensuring that residents’ rooms, public areas, and laundry are in perfect order.
• Ensure all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and returned to owners.
• Operate all laundry equipment as specified.
• Report to the manager any faults, issues, or when supplies need replacement.Manage supplies economically, avoiding wastage.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Previous housekeeping experience in a similar environment is preferable.
• Take pride in providing high quality household services that help residents live comfortably and safely.
• Show an ability to work well individually and with a team to create a smooth workflow.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a difference in our residents’ lives while communicating well with others.
• Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings.
