Job summary

Bupa Parklands Care Home in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated cleaner to deliver a homely and healthy environment for residents. The role is permanent part-time, averaging 25.7 hours per week with a 6-week roster and a 7:30am–1:30pm shift.

You will join a team that values care, dignity, and supporting residents across rest home, hospital, and dementia care settings. Applicants should have cleaning experience in similar environments, reliable transport, and availability to work a rotating

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning in a care/home environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work rotating shifts including weekends.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
• Hours: Average 25.7 hours/week/154 hours/6 weeks roster period
• Shift Time: 7.30am-1.30pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Bupa Parklands Care Home is located on Papanui Road in Strowan, Christchurch, close to the communities of Papanui, Merivale, and St Albans. The home offers rest home, hospital, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is preferable.

• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
