Job summary

Bupa Crofton Downs Care Home in Wellington is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join the Housekeeping team and help create a homely, healthy environment for residents. You will follow the cleaning schedule, manage cleaning supplies, and ensure public areas and resident rooms are neat and well cared for.

The role requires a proactive team player who can work rotating shifts, including weekends, with reliable transport and the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is preferable.
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents.
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
• Manage cleaning supplies.
• Ensure residents' rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting faults to the Household supervisor.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.

Bupa Crofton Downs Care Home is a modern, purpose-built care home located inCrofton Downs, Wellington, overlooking the beautiful Trelissick Park. It offers both rest home and hospital-level care all in a modern and contemporary design.

As a Cleaneryou will be part of the Housekeeping team to:

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
• Managing cleaning supplies.
• Meeting of daily schedule to ensure that residents’ rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting any faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.
