Bupa Ballarat Care Home in Rangiora, near Christchurch, is hiring a Cleaner to join our Housekeeping team. You’ll help create a homely, healthy environment by maintaining high cleaning standards, managing supplies, and keeping residents’ spaces in order with a respectful, patient approach.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a compassionate attitude. The role involves a rotating 6-week roster with weekends, a 28-hour week, and shift times 8:30am–3:00pm.

• Hours: Average 28 hours/week/168 hours/6 weeks roster period
• Shift Time: 8.30am-3.00pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

Bupa Ballarat Care Home is located on the western edge ofRangiora, just north of Christchurch. It provides rest home, hospital, and dementia care within a modern, purpose-built environment.

As a Cleaner you will be part of the Housekeeping team to:

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
• Managing cleaning supplies.
• Meeting of daily schedule to ensure that residents’ rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting any faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.

What you’ll needto make it possible

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is preferable.
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
