Bupa Cashmere View Care Home in Somerfield, Christchurch, is seeking a friendly Cleaner to join the Housekeeping team and help provide a homely, healthy environment for residents through a high standard of cleaning.

The role is permanent part-time, about 30 hours per week, with an 8.00am–3.00pm shift and a 4 days on / 2 days off rotating roster. You will manage supplies, follow the schedule, report issues, and treat residents with respect.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in cleaning in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative.
• Ability to follow schedules, policies and safety procedures.

Bupa Cashmere View Care Home is located inSomerfield, Christchurch, in a beautiful garden, setting alongside the Heathcote River. It offers rest home, hospital, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.

As a Cleaneryou will be part of the Housekeeping team to:

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
• Managing cleaning supplies.
• Meeting of daily schedule to ensure that residents’ rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting any faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is preferable.

• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
