Job summary

Bupa Liston Heights Care Home in Taupo is seeking dedicated Caregivers to join a 4-days on, 2-days off roster with varying shifts. You’ll help residents with mobility, documentation, and social engagement while contributing to a warm, safe environment.

Applicants should hold Level 0-4 Caregiving qualifications, have medication competency, and be committed to elderly care. NZ work entitlement and MS Office literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification with current medication competency.
• Proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment.
• Genuine passion for supporting the elderly.
• Confident communication and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

Hours & Roster Details:

Employment Type: Permanent Full-time and Part-Time

We have a variety of permanent positions available, working on a 4-days on, 2-days off 6-weekly rotating roster pattern (Monday - Sunday):

1) Permanent, full time role: average of 32 hours per week

• Mix of AM and PM shifts: 6:45am to 3:15pm, 7am to 11am, 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 10pm, 3pm to 11pm and 4pm to 9pm.

2) Permanent, part time role: average of 28.3 hours per week

• Mix of AM and PM shifts- 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 11pm to 7am.

3) Permanent, part time role: average of 28 hours per week

• Mix of AM and PM shifts: 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 10pm and 3pm to 11pm.

Bupa Liston Heights Care Home is located in Hilltop, Taupō, one of New Zealand's most picturesque locations, with stunning panoramic views of Lake Taupō and the surrounding mountains. The home provides rest home, hospital, and dementia care.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll needto make it possible

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
