NZCL is seeking energetic Casual Support Workers to assist people with disabilities in Lower Hutt, Wellington. You will join a team delivering 24/7 support, with shifts that may include overnights and weekends. A valid NZ driver's license is essential and prior healthcare experience is preferred.

You will help with daily activities, meals, personal care, and life skills in a safe, respectful environment, while training and development are provided. Competitive pay and staff benefits are offered.

We are looking for energetic and motivated Casual Support Workers to help the people we support in our Lower Hutt residential services.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

• People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenges behaviours.
• Full driver's license is essential.
• Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.

Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
