Job summary

New Zealand Health Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist individuals in Cambridge with daily activities, personal care, and community engagement.

The role offers flexible rostering with the potential for overnight shifts and weekend work. Prior healthcare experience is preferred, and a valid NZ driver’s license is essential. NZ residency or valid work permit is required, and training toward NZQA Health & Wellbeing is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including disability experience and behavioural support.

• Willingness to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.

We are looking for permanent full time Support Workers to help the people we support in our Cambridge Residential Services. A high degree of flexibility in terms of rostering and locations of services is required to be successful in this role.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.
