NZCL in Levin is hiring Casual Support Workers to help people with disabilities live independently and engage in community activities. You will join a team delivering 24/7 support across shifts, with potential sleepover payments in some rosters and a focus on safety and inclusion.

The role welcomes energetic, empathetic individuals with a background in care. A full driver’s license is essential, and flexibility for overnight shifts is required to support diverse needs.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

• People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenges behaviours.
• Full driver's license is essential.
• Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.

Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
