Job summary

NZCL is seeking energetic and motivated Support Workers to join our Nelson Residential Services on a permanent full-time basis. This leave-cover role requires flexibility in location and rostering within the Nelson area.

You will support people with daily living activities, meals, personal cares, and life skills, working with a team to provide 24/7 support. A full driver’s license is essential and prior healthcare experience is preferred.

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Support people in daily life activities such as personal cares, meals, outings (e.g., swimming) and teaching life skills.
• Work as part of a team across Nelson Residential Services with flexible rostering to cover shifts, including weekends and overnights.

We are looking for permanent full time Support Workers to help the people we support in our Nelson Residential Services. This is a leave cover role, which means that a high degree of flexibility will be required in terms of locations and rostering within the Nelson area that you would be required to work in.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.
