Job summary

NZCL is seeking part-time Support Workers to assist people in their own homes in the New Plymouth area. This leave-cover role requires flexibility across locations and rosters, with 24/7 potential and possible sleepover payments.

The role involves helping with daily activities, personal care, meals and life skills, in a busy, supportive team environment. Applicants should be NZ residents/citizens or hold a valid NZ work permit.

Qualifications

• People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Full driver's license is essential.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.
• NZ Resident/Citizen or valid NZ work permit.

We are looking for permanent part time Support Workers to help the people we support in our New Plymouth Residential Services. This is a leave cover position, providing additional support when other Support Workers are away on leave. Flexibility with rostering and working across different locations within the New Plymouth area is essential.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.
