Job summary

Summerset is seeking a Caregiver for Trentham Village in Wellington. You will join a team focused on delivering high-quality personal care, meals, hygiene support, and daily living assistance to residents. The role involves a mix of shifts and duties designed to promote residents' health and happiness.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, hygiene, activities, and mobility under care plans. A empathetic, patient approach and ability to adapt to a 4 on/2 off roster is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Compassionate with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work a rotational roster (morning/afternoon/night).

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Support personal care and daily activities.
• Assist with mobility, walking and exercises per care plans.

As a Caregiver at our Trentham Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The shift/hours for this role are: 4 on 2 off PM Shifts (40-50hrs per fortnight)

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
