Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Trentham is seeking a caring and reliable Caregiver to support residents with daily living, meals, hygiene and activities. You will work as part of a team to deliver safe, compassionate care and assist with personalised care plans.

Night shifts are part of the roster, with a 2 days on, 4 days off pattern. You should bring empathy, strong communication skills and a commitment to resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills to build lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Trentham Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities

The shift/hours for this role are: 2 days on, 4 days off night shifts (32 - 48hrs per fortnight).

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
