Summerset Holdings in Trentham Village, Wellington, NZ, is seeking a Caregiver to provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents. You will be part of a team delivering meals, aiding with hygiene, and supporting residents' activity and exercise plans.

The role operates on 4 days on and 2 days off, PM shifts, with a 40-50 hour fortnight. Experience in aged care, strong communication, and a compassionate approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a 4 days on, 2 days off roster.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Trentham Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The shift/hours for this role are:4 on 2 off PM Shifts(40-50hrs per fortnight)

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
