Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages’ Trentham Village is hiring a caring caregiver to support residents with daily living needs and personal care. You will join a team focused on safety, health, and enjoyment for our residents, delivering meals, assisting with hygiene, and supporting activities and mobility as part of a rotating roster.

The role requires empathy, kindness, and patience, with experience in aged care and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind and patient demeanor required.
• Experience in aged care or similar role desired.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to build relationships.
• Roster flexibility across mornings, afternoons and nights, 4 days on 2 days off.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene and showering.
• Assist with individual care plan requirements (e.g., walks, exercises).
• Help with activities such as puzzles and table tennis.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Trentham Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The shift/hours for this role are: 4 on 2 off PM Shifts (40-50hrs per fortnight)

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
