Job summary

Summerset Holdings Cambridge village is seeking a caring caregiver to join our team. You will help provide personal care, meals, hygiene and daily activities, contributing to a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for residents.

This fixed term role runs until May 2027 with a rotating roster (4 days on, 2 days off) and shifts across mornings and evenings. Experience in aged care, dementia care and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Experience working within dementia care, supported by a Level 4 dementia care qualification.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Cambridge village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a fixed term role till May 2027, and working a roster of four days on, two days off (Shifts will rotate through AM and PM's - minimum 60 and maximum 80 hours per fortnight).

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Experience working within dementia care, supported by a Level 4 dementia care qualification
