Summerset Retirement Villages in Palmerston North is seeking a casual Caregiver to join our village team, delivering personal care, meals, hygiene support and daily living assistance to residents.

You will work as part of a friendly team with shifts that may be on short notice. Aged care experience, empathy and strong communication are essential, with uniform provided and weekend penalty rates.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Palmerston North village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
