Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Auckland is seeking a Caregiver for our St Johns village to join a team that provides a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for residents. You will deliver personal care, assist with daily activities, meals and mobility as part of a compassionate team.

This permanent part-time role requires empathy, dementia care qualifications and strong communication to build lasting relationships with residents and families. The roster is Tuesday to Saturday, 4.00pm–8.00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or similar role.
• Dementia care qualifications.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assisting with individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis.

Job Description:

This is a permanent part-time role working a roster of Tuesday to Saturday 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Dementia care qualifications.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster.
