Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for Boulcott Village in Lower Hutt. You will deliver resident-directed care in a dementia-friendly environment, focusing on quality of life and safety.

This fixed-term, part-time role runs on a 3-on, 3-off roster from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with weekend penalties and opportunities to gain additional qualifications. You will join a supportive team committed to excellence in aged care.

Qualifikationen

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Boulcott Village you will work as part of a team to deliver high-quality, resident-directed care for people living with dementia. Our secure, specialist environment supports safety while promoting a fulfilling and enjoyable lifestyle, with each resident’s quality of life at the heart of everything we do. Our care is resident-directed - meaning we tailor care and support to each individual’s preferences, values, and needs.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes


• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering


• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises


• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a fixed-term, part-time position until 2 May 2027, working a 3-on, 3-off roster with shifts from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Experience in aged care or a similar role


• Experience with dementia care


• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships


• Ability to work a roster pattern of 3 days on and 3 days off
