Job summary

Summerset in the Palms Village is seeking a caring caregiver to support residents with personal care and daily activities, including meals, hygiene, and mobility, while following individual care plans. This part-time role operates on a 4 days on, 4 days off roster with morning shifts, 24–40 hours per fortnight.

Ideal applicants will have aged-care experience, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind and patient demeanor essential.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work a 4 on / 4 off roster on morning shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene and daily living activities.
• Assist with individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Support residents with activities and engagement (puzzles, games, etc.).

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Summerset in the Palms Village,you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a part time role working 24 - 40 hours per fortnight, on a 4 days on, 4 days off roster with AM shifts.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 4days off on morning shifts
