Job summary

Summerset Casebrook village in Canterbury is seeking a caring and reliable caregiver to support residents with daily living in a warm, safe environment. You will join a team dedicated to delivering compassionate personal care and assistance that enhances residents' quality of life.

The role involves delivering meals, helping with hygiene, supporting activity participation and following individual care plans. Fixed, predictable rosters and a permanent, ongoing position are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a consistent part-time roster with set days and hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Casebrookvillageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

We have a range of permanent part-time positions with fixed, predictable rosters, including:

• Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00pm to 8:00pm (20 hours per week)
• Sunday to Tuesday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, plus Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00am to 1:00pm (33.5 hours per week)
• Saturday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, Sunday, 8:00am to 1:00pm, and Monday, 8:00am to 1:30pm (17 hours per week)
• Tuesday and Wednesday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Friday, 4:00pm to 9:30pm, and Saturday, 4:30pm to 10:00pm (25.5 hours per week)
• Thursday to Saturday, 7:00am to 3:00pm (22.5 hours per week)

Fixed-Term Opportunity (until 17 February 2027)

• Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00am to 1:00pm (27.5 hours per week)
