Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Hawke's Bay is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents in a warm, community-focused village. You will provide personal care, help with meals, hygiene and daily activities to enhance wellbeing.

Join a team with a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons and nights. Experience in aged care is preferred. Weekend rates apply and a range of benefits are offered to support you in delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a 4 days on and 2 days off roster pattern.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset in the Vines village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

We Have 2 Positions Available

• Full-time: 60 - 80hours per fortnight on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster with a mix of AM and PM shifts.
• Part-time: 48 hours per fortnight from Monday - Thursday, 7am - 1:30pm.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
