Job summary

Summerset Holdings’ Trentham Village in Wellington is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents with daily living, meals, hygiene, and activity engagement. You will work as part of a team to create a safe, enjoyable lifestyle for residents.

The role involves a 4 days on / 2 days off roster with AM/PM shifts, typically totaling 40-50 hours per fortnight. Experience in aged care, strong communication, and flexibility with a rotational roster are essential; weekend rates and health

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Trentham Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The shift/hours for this role are: 4 on 2 off AM/PM shifts (40-50hrs per fortnight)
