Job summary

Summerset in the Vines village in Hawke's Bay is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to help residents live safely, healthily and joyfully. You will join a team that delivers personal care and everyday assistance to enhance residents' daily lives.

Typical duties include meals, hygiene support, assistance with activity plans, and helping residents with mobility and social activities. Both full-time and part-time rosters are available, with AM/PM shifts and a mixture of hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plans, walks and exercises.
• Support with activities and daily routines across rosters.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at ourSummerset in the Vines village,you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc
• Full-time: 60 - 80hours per fortnight on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster with a mix of AM and PM shifts.
• Part-time: 48 hours per fortnight from Monday - Thursday, 7am - 1:30pm.

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
