Job summary

Summerset Holdings is seeking a Caregiver for our Waikanae Village in Wellington. The role focuses on providing personal care to residents and supporting daily living activities, under a warm, team-driven culture.

Key duties include meals, hygiene assistance, and implementing individual care plans, with involvement in activities to promote wellbeing. The roster is 4 days on, 2 days off, with additional weekend rates and health insurance perks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in aged care or a similar role
• Health and Wellbeing Level 3+ qualification or equivalent
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at ourSummerset Waikanae Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a full time role working 60 - 80 hours per fortnight, on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:
