Job summary

Summerset by the Lake Village in Taupo is seeking a caring caregiver to support residents’ daily living. You will join a team delivering personal care in a safe, supportive environment, ensuring meals, hygiene, and activities are managed with compassion.

The role is casual and on an as-needed basis, requiring flexibility to cover various shifts. Uniforms are provided, and opportunities exist to progress your caregiver career and gain qualifications.

Qualifications

• Empathy, kindness and patience to improve residents' lives.
• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to availability for various shifts, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plans, including walks and exercises.
• Help with activities like puzzles and table games.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset by the Lake Village in Taupo,you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
