Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a casual Caregiver at the Vines Village in Hawke's Bay, Havelock North. You will join a team delivering personal care, meals, hygiene support and social activities to residents, helping to create a safe, enjoyable daily life.

The role emphasises flexibility across shifts, opportunities to gain qualifications, and a community-focused work environment. Uniform provided and ongoing care values are highlighted.

Qualifications

• You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people's lives.
• Experience in aged care or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset in the Vines Village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident's daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis
