Job summary

Tuck Shop in Parnell is seeking a passionate Cafe Manager to lead daily operations of the store. You will roster and supervise front of house and kitchen staff, hire and train new team members, and ensure consistent service and quality.

You'll manage stock, complete cash-ups, handle catering bookings and production, and plan delivery. The role offers a minimum of 30 hours per week and pays $35 per hour for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a cafe or similar role.
• Experience in managing catering bookings and production.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond.
• Fun, friendly, and positive attitude.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Cafe Manager to join our team in our bakery in Parnell. Tuck Shop is an artisan bakery and cafe with a passion for creating superior baked products and want to show everyday Kiwis how good bread, sandwiches, pastries and baked goods can be. We currently make a range of artisan baked breads, sourdoughs, sandwiches, pastries and sweet baked treats in a local bakery setting that references the nostalgia of quality baked goods that we grew up with.

We are in need of a superstar café manager for our Parnell store.

The position will be:

• Managing our day to day operations of our Parnell Store
• Rostering and Supervising front of house and kitchen staff
• Trialing, hiring and training new staff
• Ensuring standards of service and quality are consistently met
• Maintaining appropriate stock levels and ordering stock to replenish inventory levels
• Completing daily cash ups
• Managing catering bookings and liaising with customers
• Planning and managing catering production and delivery.

The ideal candidate will need to have:

• At least 2 years' previous experience in a relevant role
• Experience in managing catering bookings and production or similar
• A strong work ethic and be prepared to to go above and beyond when times require.
• A fun, friendly and positive attitude
