Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years management experience in hospitality.
• Hospitality or management diploma/degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Experience managing rosters and labour costs.
• Ability to plan menus with Chefs and coordinate daily operations.
• Willingness to work a mix of days, evenings and weekends.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to lead our busy café. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys being actively involved in day‑to‑day operations, can inspire and support a team, and understands the commercial requirements of running a successful hospitality business. We are committed to continually improving our service, developing our people, and delivering a consistently excellent experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Planning menus in consultation with Chefs
• Planning and coordinating the daily operations of a Cafe
• Planning and organizing special functions
• Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
• Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
• Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
• Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff, and Bar Staff
• Taking reservations, greeting guests and assisting in taking orders
• Maintain and complete the premises incident record book

Who we are looking for:

• Previous Restaurant or hospitality management experience
• Minimum 2 years management experience
• Hospitality or Management diploma or degree preferred
• Strong people leadership and team-development skills
• Experience managing rosters and labour costs
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of hospitality costs
• A calm and practical approach when things get busy
