Job summary

L & B Family Company in Silverdale, Auckland is seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to lead daily operations, deliver outstanding customer service and coach a friendly team to perform at their best.

This permanent, full-time role offers a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week (up to 50) with rosters Mon–Sun 6:00am–4:00pm. Wages range from $32 to $35 per hour, with responsibilities including menu planning, purchasing, stock control, health compliance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Excellent customer service mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
• Planning and organising special functions.
• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget.
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
• Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional, and of suitable appearance.
• Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
• Selecting, training, and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.
• Assisting with taking reservations, greeting guests, and taking orders as needed.
