Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a Café Assistant for our St Johns village. This casual, on-call role focuses on friendly service, quality coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors.

You will deliver barista quality drinks, assist with catering for village events, handle cash, and work as part of a supportive hospitality team dedicated to resident well‑being.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or café experience.
• LCQ and Duty Managers certificate.
• Superb barista skills.
• A warm, friendly personality with great customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and the ability to multitask.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, presenting, and serving food and drinks to a high standard.
• Providing outstanding barista services.
• Assisting with, bistro nights, catering for village events and resident functions.

We’re now looking for a Café Assistant for our St Johns village, who shares our love for people and hospitality.

This is a casual role, working on as and when needed basis.
