Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā is seeking a Booking & Scheduling Administrator to support paediatric services. The role schedules outpatient clinics for Paediatricians and Nurse Specialists, manages waitlists and communicates with whānau to arrange timely appointments.

The 0.3 FTE fixed-term position ends 30 June 2027. Training in the iPM system will be provided, with an option for flexible hours across two 6-hour days or three 4-hour days per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in health or public sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Confidence working with a range of computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

About the Role


As a member of the Booking and Scheduling team, you will schedule outpatient clinics for Paediatricians and Nurse Specialists, manage waitlists, and liaise with whānau requiring appointments. Knowledge and skills using the iPM (integrated patient management) system is advantageous but not essential, as comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.We offer flexibility in how the hours are worked, either two 6-hour days or three 4-hour days per week.
