Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā is seeking a Booking & Scheduling Administrator to support paediatric services. The role schedules outpatient clinics for Paediatricians and Nurse Specialists, manages waitlists and communicates with whānau to arrange timely appointments.

The 0.3 FTE fixed-term position ends 30 June 2027. Training in the iPM system will be provided, with an option for flexible hours across two 6-hour days or three 4-hour days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative role, preferably in health or public sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Confidence working with a range of computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient clinics for Paediatricians and Nurse Specialists.
• Manage waitlists and liaise with whānau requiring appointments.
• Utilise iPM system; training provided if needed.
• Contribute to timely access to paediatric services.
