Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, customer service, trade, wholesale, or similar customer-focused environment.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is highly regarded.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of sales performance and customer service.
• Must be a permanent resident or citizen of NZ.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager with the day-to-day running of the branch.
• Lead and motivate the team when the Branch Manager is absent.
• Coach, mentor, and support team members to achieve their potential.
• Drive exceptional customer service and strengthen customer relationships.
• Assist with achieving branch budgets, sales targets, and business objectives.
• Support pricing discipline, margin performance, and commercial outcomes.
• Oversee branch operations, stock management, and workflow improvements.
• Promote accountability, ownership, and a positive team culture through leading by example.

About the Role

Working alongside the Branch Manager, this on-site Assistant Branch Manager position plays a key role in the day-to-day success of the branch. You'll help lead and support the team, drive sales performance, maintain high customer service standards, and contribute to a positive and accountable workplace culture.
